Welcome

After four years training as a professional illustrator I moved to Cowes in 1995 to become a marine artist, combining painting with a lifetime love of sailing and messing about on the water. Soon after arriving I volunteered as a crew member of Cowes Inshore Lifeboat. This experience has enriched my knowledge and understanding of Solent life and all that floats (or sinks) on it.
Working in Cowes as a professional artist I have exhibited widely and taken many private commissions including two paintings of the America's Cup Jubilee which are hanging in the Royal Yacht Squadron.
In 1996 four of my paintings were accepted by the Royal Society of Marine Artists for exhibition at the Mall Galleries in London. In 2001 I bacame a member of the RSMA. I have won many prizes since and am currently the youngest member.
While maintaining my specialisation in marine subjects, my artistic interests are varied. My other main passion is portraits but all subjects are interesting to me.
